overview
A fellow Ivy League graduate (University of Pennsylvania), as well as Georgetown Medical Center, Dr. Chris Roman is an impeccably-credentialed physician. He did his residency at Vanderbilt (Nashville), and is a board-certified surgeon and radiologist.
What makes Chris the most-qualified physician in the country to help endurance runners, however, is not only his superior intellect and history as a doctor, but also his vast experience as a runner. Simply put, Chris has "been there, done that." He has competed in -- and completed -- some of the very toughest races the world has to offer, including the Badwater 135 (twice), the Brazil 135/175 (many times), the Keys 100 (twice), the Daytona 100, the Leadville Trail 100, the Western States 100, and many other races. (In total, Chris has run over 20 races of 100 miles or longer...) |
Dave and Chris have been great friends for years, and we are beyond ecstatic to announce that Chris has officially joined Zwitty Ultra! His medical expertise and ultrarunning experience will be an invaluable tool for all Zwitty runners!!
selected career highlights
With over 20 ultra marathons of 100 miles or longer, Chris is one of the most-accomplished (primarily) road ultrarunners in the world:
